The version I have is hard to find. That's because there's a scene where young Scrooge's girlfriend, Belle sings a song . It's called "When Love is Gone", and she sings it when she gives up on having a life and a family with Scrooge. Disney deleted it because they felt it wouldn't appeal to young children. I can understand that, it's a tear-jerker, but I love that I have a copy that includes it.
These are my favorite characters from any Muppet production. I enjoy their humor....

Whats's your favorite movie, holiday or otherwise?
My all time favorite is The Grinch starring Jim Carrey. I never get tired of his portrayal. "It's not a skirt! It's a Kilt!". We also love 'A Christmas Story', although the scene with the tongue on the cold flagpole stuck with me for years, and not in a good way. Mike and I will be aboard Christmas day this year. Maybe we need to do a movie day. I keep thinking Christmas is over because we did our celebrating early. But then I realize it isn't. I still have time to watch my favorites! Oh, also A Charlie Brown Christmas. Mike loves that one.
ReplyDeleteOh, yes, Charlie Brown's Christmas is a great one also. I love the cool "real" Whoville town in Jim Carrey's Grinch. They would have had to have a Suess imagination to build it. Popcorn and movie(s) on Christmas Day, sounds like a winner to me.
DeleteRudolph is my favorite Christmas movie from when I was a kid. The Abominable Snowman still scares me though.
